fcp5 capture issues

hi!

we are trying to edit some footage shot with the hd100 and we get 59.94fps instead of 29.97 does any one know whats happening???

apretiate your help because we have a deadline comming very soon.

What is the problem with that?

It's reporting the fields per second. Probably fine. Did yo ucapture on your system? What are the capture settings?

Same problem in IMovieHd and two systems

Same problem in IMovieHd and two systems

the problem is that when I try to edit or play it it plays at double speed, I have tested this with two differet mac G5 systems and the results are the same, and another thing in one of the two systems I tried using IMovieHD to capture an play and still have the same problem , double speed playback, and the settings are the default hdv capture settings

I don't know the answer right now. Try capturing via GCAM. It makes quicktime files so you could just copy it in you FCP timeline. You can download it for free (only 50k) and it works great. When having difficulties, this might be a solution for the time being. When you capture, Pay attention to the settings(frame size). The default is 620x480. So put it on 720x480
