FCP4.5 and DVX 24p - basic import question

Shot footage for a doc on the DVX100a in the 24p setting - 16X9 (jeez i love the look of this camera!)

I'm new to FCP 4.5 so before I get too far with log and capture - if I understand correctly I'll simply import under default FCP settings into a 29.97 timeline?

No allowance needs to be made for 24p or the in camera 16X9??
