FCP X plug-in for dirt removal

Hi all.
Hoping that someone can help me with a recommendation...
Back in the days of FCP 7, there were several plug-ins to get rid of dirt and dust from film frames (cloning from other oarts of the frame or removing hair and dust by using pieces from the preceding or following frame). But now, since people rarely deal with film anymore, I can't find a good way to clean up dirt on film transfers. Most of the plug-ins for FCP X assume that the problem is a piece of dirt on the lens or a dead pixel, so the approach is to fix the entire shot, where the problem area remains fixed. Film's problem is handling frames individually, since the dirt and dust typically flash on for one frame at a time...and need to be dealt with that way (which FCP 7 had solutions for). Can anyone recommend a solution now that I have left FCP 7 behind in the mists of time? (I would go back to it, but my footage is now 4K...not good for FCP 7).
Many thanks!

That's perfect, NorBro...and thank you for the heads up that I would have to be patient with it. If I pick it up (very reasonable price!), I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks!

Haven't decided to purchase ProPatch yet...but it is the closest thing to what I am looking for. Thanks again for that.
What impresses me the most about this $29 plug-in is that is also includes tracking abilities! Could be cool!

The software pretty much tries to make the entire process of what you want to do a bit easier by providing all of the tools you need (or most) in one place instead of doing it all from scratch (what some talented post-production specialists would do in AE, etc).

You're basically just trying to "patch" - cover or replace - something with a complex or non-complex variety of pixels. And if there is movement in the frame then the recovery/replacement has to move too (which is what the tracking is for).

For the price - especially in emergency situations - it's worth a try.

I’ve used TrackX to some success for issues like this. It allows you to mask parts of the frame with other parts and then blend it while you track it. Sometimes you have to cut a longer shot into pieces to continue the masking but it has saved me. A bit pricier but pretty powerful.
