FCP X Blu-Ray technical concerns w/ 1080/30p native res or converted to 1080/29.97i

I've burned several Blu-Ray discs in 10.0.8 from 1080/30pN master files <100 min in length. All cameras were shot at AVC-I 100 @ 30pN. To my surprise, it worked. I tried to re-rip the Blu-Ray disc and it says to be 1080/29.97 on the stream file name. I'm confused here. I thought Blu-Ray can't do 30p, but only 24p. Does this mean 10.0.8 re-encode fr 30pN it to 29.97 interlaced? Does exporting the file to compressor (explicitly set to 29.97 progressive) and burn it in Toast 11 make any difference to get 30pN?

Should I perform a 30pN to 24pN and burn it to Blu-Ray to get the best quality? But this will affect the jitter rate because most of the content contain fast camera pans.

29.97 and 30p are typically reported the same on Blu-ray disc players. If it looks good, don't worry about it.
