FCP Workflow miniDV (start to finish)

Hey guys,

Just inquiring as to if anyone has a mini dv workflow breakdown for a video project revolving around the FCP Studio Package. I am on a G5 with a XL2 Cam (shooting in 24p).

What I am really hoping for is a point by point breakdown or better yet some kind of flow chart.

Did you even look at the manual?

Camera/deck to computer via FW... capture
Browser to Viewer... select inpoint/outpoint drop in timeline
Add effects.

Actaeon -- If you don't want an answer that is as vague as your question you are going to need to be a little more specific.

If you'd like, I'd be happy to charge you consulting fees and walk you thru it on the phone. I'd be spending more time then that sitting here trying to tell you how to hook up your camera and what page your capture setup preferences are in your manual.

Here's what I suggest... READ the manual. At least do the tutorials!!!!

Then, you'll come back here with specific questions on things you don't understand.

I do this sort of training at seminars and in-house private consulting for a living. Call me to schedule an appointment. Just kidding.

Here's what I suggest based on my training experience. Order, and have delivered over night, the book "Apple Pro Training Series; Final Cut Pro 5" and do it. At least the first half of it. Seriously, get this book and do it. Don't let the size scare you, it goes faster and easier than it looks.

You really are asking THE most basic qustions. Do the tutorials that come with Final Cut Suite. Apple includes some of the BEST tutorials with their software! Just do them!
 
Hahaha, sorry guys, no this has all been misred.

I am not looking HOW to complete the project, I am nearing apple pro certification and can handle the job, what I was hoping for was a pre existing overview breakdown of using the FCP studio package for a miniDV project. I wasn't sure if one was floating around out there and it would save me a TON of time rather than putting something together in PS.

Something either in a flowchart format or point by point breakdown of how the "average" miniDV project (I know that is subjective) would utilize all of the FCPS Programs.
