FCP won't open now, help!!!

Okay, I have final cut studio. It has the FCP version 5.0.1. I have it now on my quad G5 and just purchased a MacBook Pro and loaded all of Final Cut Studio on it. Every app opened fine.

Well.... I loaded Magic Bullet for Editors v.2 on it and now it doesn't open at all. I went online to put FCP 5.0.4 on it to see if that would help. Nope. I downloaded all the updates that my version would accept, and still it won't open FCP. My MacBook Pro opens all the other apps, but not FCP. HELP!!!
 
You need the Universal Binary version of FCP which is 5.1 .... not 5.0.1. Which do you have?

and Magic Bullet does not work on Intel Macs yet.
 
I have 5.0.4 which explains it. Funny, though. I wasn't getting any problems until after I loaded MB. It was working before.
Yeah, I guess I will be buying the 5.1 upgrade. Thanks for the advice!
 
It was probably running ok in Rosetta mode and you did not even realize it, but then MB must have put it in overload.

To get the upgrade, just look for FCP crossgrade on Apple's site. Simply send in your disks and $50 and you will have the new disks in 2 weeks....
