Bah. All these arguments are kind of dumb...Give me two 3/4" decks and a switcher and I'll get you somethin' out of it. It's not the tool that's the thing, it's who's using it.

I know how to edit super 8 with a Hervic splicer- but I'm not gonna no matter how much I get paid. :evil:

You're joking right? By the time you finish your 1st cut on 3/4" we've already onlined and delivered 2 or 3 projects. I cut on flatbeds and moviolas back in the day. And they weren't all the same. I'd take a KEM over Steenbeck and everyone knows Moviola flatbeds had the best picture but sucked in many other ways. Same goes for NLE's some do some things better than other. These "arguments" as you call them are nothing of the sort - just folks trying to give objective pros/cons to the different NLE's out there.

Where you find the dumbness is confounding.
