I'm a little confused here, and finding Apple's website unhelpful. Can someone tell me if I'm heading in the right direction?
I'm looking to buy Final Cut Studio 5. I can then upgrade to currently 5.1.4 on the website (I have to pay extra for this I believe?). For that I have to register my product, and I'll upgrade onto my powerpc laptop. Then, when I get the funds to upgrade my computer to an Intel based macbook I can then install it all again including update? Will I have to reregister and pay for the update again? And will I be able to keep the old computer registered at the same time?
My confusion partly comes from the Apple website seemingly distinguishing between the powerpc and intel updates. I'm keen to know I won't get caught out as frankly the money's all going one way...
