FCP upgrade question

I'm running FCP 4.5 and now have FCP 5. If I install FCP 5 will it wipe out the work that I'm currently editing in FCP 4.5?

I'd like to start working on some of my HD footage in FCP 5 but I don't want to lose any of the work that I've been doing in FCP 4.5.....

You will lose no work. FCP 5 will just update your project file and you can continue working.

(Duplicate the project file first...JUST in case)

Jay, you need to upgrade to the Final Cut Studio 5.1 using the Crossgrade upgrade. It's $199. But the deadline to have it postmarked is Dec. 20, 2006 so don't delay.
