FCP traning in NYC...

Hello everyone!

Just got my DVX100A after tons of research and internal debate about getting something less expensive. But I made the jump and I'm glad I did, it's a fantastic camera.

So I know Final Cut Pro, but I really want to learn it, you know, get really deep into it. I'm looking for a good, not-too-expensive course in NYC, preferably evenings and/or weekends.

There are classes at DV Dojo in downtown NYC, but they haven't updated their site since June, and I haven't gotten any responses to e-mails. Perhaps they're out of business?

There's always NYU's CADA courses, but those are quite a bit of money.

Can anyone recommend a good course?

Check to see if there any film maker groups. In San Francisco there's FilmArts that puts on classes and rents equipment. I'm sure they have somethign similar in NY

You could also consider one of the many training DVD's available. Some of the sites have demo sections online to check out. Do a search or check 2-pop.com for possible ones.
