I'm working on a project that requires me to clean up some sound in soundtrack pro from FCP. I am new to Soundtrack Pro but am learning slowly.
One issue I'm having is the sound on the film was recorded in mono and appears that way in FCP. When I need to clean up or process some sound in Soundtrack Pro I click on the sound clip in the timeline in FCP and click send to Soundtrack Pro Audio File Project.
Now when i'm in Soundtrack Pro the clip looks to be mono to me (but I could be wrong) but when i do any processing and save it or render to action then save, back in FCP it is now stereo...?
Any clues as to why this is happening or how I can rectify it? For the meantime I have just been going back into Soundtrack Pro and converting to mono but then I have to reconnect the media and pan appropriately all over again???
