I have a unique situation that I’m trying to find a solution for. At school we’re using Final Cut Pro 7 and at home I’m using Premiere Pro CS4 on my PC.
I've watched tons of tutorials related to exporting projects between the two programs and in every one the user is operating a Mac, with BOTH programs installed on the machine.
I exported my XML files from school and brought them home and opened them on my PC in Premiere Pro, everything was okay until Premiere started looking for all my captured clips that were offline... DUH! I didn't have my captured clips from my bins, the project wasn't on the same computer. Silly me.
I need to transfer my captured clips to my PC but can that be accomplished with a hard drive that's formatted for a Mac? Is there an easier way? Will the format of the clips make a difference?
