Ok I have t get some HD footage from a FCP timeline into Popcorn Hour. ( a media player)

Popcorn Hour players more or less everything thrown at it ( except XDCam HD footage)

I need to stream in HD. What is the best way to come out of FCP to a file which will play in 1920X1080 in a media player to a TV.

Cheers
Steve

Well as I don't have a popcorn sitting here I'd suggest some tests. It probably would be happy playing an H.264 QuickTime 1080p file I'd guess.

HI NOah, I have ben at it all afternoon and I think I have finally cracked it with a m2t transport stream. It has audio and the image is very clear at 1080i.

I did try H.264 but it was jerky.

You could try output to MPEG-2 broadcast ATSC data rates (20 or 40mbps approx).
This is how your program is most likely going to get shown, good way to QC color/fast motion breakups etc...
If your output is compliant with QAM rates, the multiplexed TS should play on DVR boxes as well. (Yes it would also be a transport stream vs. program stream).
