FCP to iDVD problems

I'm using FCP 5.0, but using DVD Pro is not an option for burning a DVD. I have to use iDVD. I tried to use Compressor, and render it full resolution, which worked, but I can not import it into iDVD for some reason. Please help. It's for my final project for school, and I have less than a week to get this to work. Thanks.

Why isn't using DVDSP an option? If you have FCP 5 and Compressor you have DVDSP. That's what you need to be using in this case...

What I do (From Final Cut Express) is export the movie from FCE but do not use "Quicktime Compression" instead output the "Reference" movie (which should be a quick operation if your entire project is rendered)

Bear in mind, that the "reference" movie will only work as long as you keep your original footage on the disk (since it simply links to those files)

then drop the reference movie into iMovie and it should work fine.
