fcp studio: log/capture sound issue...

I just purchased pv-gs300 consumer cam to use as a deck to capture dvx footage. I used it to shoot for a few minutes to just see the quality. I then went abroad for 4 weeks, and I came home to sit down and capture some footage only to realize that there is no headphone jack (?!) It is now past the return window and I am hoping there is a way to be able to hear the sound through the computer during log and capture? There is a crappy speaker on the gs300, but I'm dealing with hours of interviews and cannot understand most of it through this speaker. Any ideas?

iMovie will allow you to listen while importing, but that's it.

In the log and capture window go to the second tab on the right side. Forgot what it is called at the moment. Anyway find a box called preview and check it.
your capture audio will now come through your computer speakers or headphones. Only catch is you have to check it everytime you open the log and capture window.
