I'm looking for a good book or info on the different compression methods in FCP 5.1 and "Compressor". There is so many different compression choices and I'm working with Panasonic HD now.

For example, I shot footage in 16:9 from HVX 200 qnd edited a project on HD 16:9 timeline but can't get FCP to export the piece to the web without stretching the video verically to 4:3. Any suggestions?
 
There is a good Compressor tutorial series at Lynda.com. There may be some free samples of it for you can view to see if it fits your learning style.
 
There is also a Compression Tutorial on DVD made by Ripple Training Series. Its around $89.00. I bought it a while back and thought I would learn something new but the majority of the stuff I already knew. I did learn a couple of new ways to compress with different settings and all.
 
You can buy disks... but for like $25-30 month (I don't recall), you can access them all online.
