I shoot on the DVX-100a and then use a Panasonic GS50 as a deck. When I digitize my footage to the latest version of FCP the sound goes in at 48.003 kHz, meaning I have to render all sound. Anyone else have this problem?
You need to set your sound in your Sequence to 48kHz, 16-bit, which is standard DV sound. You should not have to render sound with the proper Sequence settings. Also, make extra sure your camera is set to that sound setting, and not the lower sound sample rate. That can cause audio drift in your Sequence.
