FCP...Shooting 720p 24pN for a SD broadcast output?

In FCP, how do I go about exporting a 720p 24pN project to a high quality SD (either full-frame, or 16:9 letterbox) format for TV broadcast?

What should my exporting settings be, or is there another way to do it?

Shooting in SD would be easiest, but the client wants to archive in HD.

Use Compressor. Setting will depend on the length of the video, extras, etc.

Apple Pro Training Series, Compressor Quick-Reference Guide

This book is very inexpensive, small, but very enlightening, get it. It'll walk you easily through the HD to SD convertion in Compressor the right way.

Do you want it shown on SD TVs in Letterbox, or with the edges chopped in full screen? How long is the video? Is it just one video file, or several?
