FCP settings/export issues

Ok guys, i have a headache! i 've been on my computer forever and can't figure this out. I just switched over to a Mac running FCS2, i film with a DVX-100B in Sqeeze mode. I set up my project and sequence to be DV NTSC Anamorphic, edited everything, and it looked great, but exporting is my problem. Everytime i export to a quicktime movie it is no longer anamorphic 16:9 and all of my footage is stretched vertically! i have changed i think every setting available but can't figure it out. Any advice/help is much appreciated.

Here's some other info if you need it.
Raw Footage:
Sqeeze mode
60i
Shutter- 1/120

Basically, for how i'm shooting, what settings should i use in FCP? thought i had it all figured out, seemed similar to Premiere Pro but i'm struggling.

Also, as a side note, what is your opinion on sqeeze vs letterbox on the DVX-100B?

Thanks guys, your help is much appreciated! :dankk2:

Hi,
After you export open the movie with QT then go to QT main menu > Window > Show Movie Properties > Presentation then check Conform Aperture and select either clean or Production.

That will do.
Save it in QT if your movie is supposed to be watched only on computer screens.

But if i'm making a DVD for viewing on a TV, i'm ok to export to QT movie and then import that file as an asset into DVD Studio Pro for burning correct?

If you are compressing for DVD to be screened on TV ignore the way you see the movie with QT and bring the export as asset in DVDstudio.

Do a quick search about non-square and square pixels if you have a minute, you'll find out about a lot of useful info.

If you are exporting it for a DVD there should be a preset in Compressor...something like:

DVD: Best Quality 90 minutes - 16:9

which will give you an opportunity to choose:

MPEG-2 6.2 Mbps 2-pass 16:9

and for audio you'd choose: Dolby 2.0
