FCP - QuickTime Export of 720p

Hey All, I have upgraded our video equipment to the HVX200 shooting with the FS-100 to capture HD. It's amazing (obviously)!

Anyways, I use the final media for a variety of purposes, including exporting out for the web. I was wondering what settings people use to export out via QuickTime inside FCP 5.1 and if they could post it? Some of the media I create has to fit within a 320x240 window, and when I made the video I made sure "keep aspect ratio" was selected ... but the final product still looked a little ... "squished".

Any suggestions? I can re-export and upload if I can get some advise!

Work with Compressor- that can give you good results for the web with solid control over your aspect ratios.

if you're going for 320x240 and you're in 16x9 you'll need to letterbox it. so preserve aspect ratio w/ letterbox, otherwise it will squish.

Yeah, like I said before I do preserve the aspect ratio w/ letterboxing. But I was going straight from FCP to Export > Quicktime rather than through Compressor. I'll try that and post results. thanks.
