Hi guys,
this has been frustrating me for serveral weeks but I can't seem to find a reason why when I try to edit to tape uncompressed 10bit the picture breaks randomly??

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated it.

G5 DP2.0 1.5GB RAM OSX/FCP4.5

sata 250gb internal drives
the picture does not playback properly. randomly every two minutes during playback one thrid of the pictures shifts to either side (picture break) look like a bad playback. It happens during edit to tape when I try to lay off to digibeta deck. dv compression seems to work fine but then again the data rate is 10times smaller.
maybe someone with similar setup can advise.

ok if anyone reads this my solution was buying to SATA drives and hook them up in RAID. Speed of individual SATA drive is not sufficient for realtime stream of Uncompressed 10-bit data.
