I have a 90 minute movie that I've edited in FCP 5.1.2. The movie was shot with a HVX200, which is approx. 1GB per minute (shot at 1080/24pA). That would mean the 90 minute movie should be approx. 90GB. When I export as a Quicktime movie it comes in at only about 60GB. If I send to compressor and make uncompressed 8bit or 10bit files I get about 500GB and 1TB respectively. I also notice the color in the Quicktime export is a bit different that the uncompressed output in Compressor, with the uncompressed outputs being a much better match to how everything look in FCP directly. When I chose Quicktime export I set the "Use current settings option". My sequence is setup properly to require rendering only to some effects. The resolution is correct also. Any ideas as to why the size is so different (only 2/3 the size?) and why the colors are different?
