FCP on a Duo Core Powerbook

Hey,
So I'm trading in my Avid / FCP tower for a powerbook set up. DO any of you fine folks have any hand's on with this rig ?

I would wait, I own the 15in powerbook max out and it is still very fast! Now if you're running programs like Maya or Shake, then go for it. First Generation hmmmmm I would wait!!! Especially because they've switched out the processors.

yeah same here.
got one powerbook 15inches, thats still going strong .
and my g5 as well.
planning to another desktop maybe next year.
looking forward to the intel g5 .

i have the new macbook pro with fcp on it... works GREAT as fast as my G5
