FCP "not responding" for 1-2 minutes during startup??

Have the latest final cut pro 6.02 installed... Everything was working fine for months.. Suddenly now during startup FCP goes "not responding"... Just after the main windows come up, but the timeline window is all blank gray, instead of fully draw.. FCP goes "not responding" for usually a minute or two... No drive access is happening... Just appears dead... However after a couple minutes it usually comes up, and things appear to work from that point on...

Sometimes it starts up with no delay.. Sometimes it hangs for up to a couple minutes?!?

Ive tried reinstalling Final Cut Pro, deleted FCP app, and it's prefs, and receipt..... It didnt help..
I recently found a FCS 2 uninstaller, so I may try this and do a full reinstall again if I cant find a solution...

Ive deleted all my cache files.. It didnt help..

Anyone experienced anything like this or have an idea?

I'm using FCP 6.02 and haven't had that problem. Why is the timeline coming up at startup at all? Is it opening a project? Could the project be the problem?

As far as I know, FCP always opens an empty untitled project upon startup... Or it's opening the last project used.... In my current case it's just starting with a blank project... but when it hands the preview, main, and timeline windows are created.. but don't get drawn until after the hang...
