FCP not recognizing my camera

Hi all,
All of the sudden FCP is not recognizing my camera for capture. It says (missing) on the firewire section. I have tried two different cameras and two different firewire cables. I have rebooted. Etc. When I try to capture it says there is no DV device and I may need to reconfigure.
Anyone out there can help me on this.
Side note: I just upgraded from Panther to Tiger and this is when this started happening.

What you need to do is go to:

User/Library/Receipts... then look for Quicktime###.pkg

Those ### are numbers like 603 or 604 or 701 etc.

Throw them ALL away.

Then go to the apple website and download the stand alone installer for QT7 and run it.

There's a knowledgeBase article on this... I'll look for it.
