FCP not reading Sony HVR-M25U Deck

trying to capture and FCP is not reading the deck. was working the other day, swapped to another editbay, and now it won't connect. Show all frames will not stick, and DV seems to have disappeared from my format option in easy setup. any one ever dealt with booger?

Using:
FCP 6.0.5
Dual PPC G5 2.0
Sony HVR-M25U deck
