Hello Everyone,
I'm new here and new to the world of video production with the Panasonic DVX100B and FCS.
One of the great things about the DVX is its ability to shoot 24P or 24PA video. Well in many of my recording situations I have footage that is Interlaced and Progressive. My general understanding of working with these two formats in the same sequence is to use an interlaced (29.97) timeline since 24PA will "play nice" with 29.97.
What I am seeing is interlacing on the 24PA footage after exporting through Compressor. In compressor I used teh H.264 for web download (LAN) preset. All of the video I am doing is for delivery via the internet.
I am asking any other memebers here, What is your workflow for combined 24PA and 29.97 projects for the web?
Of course if I could shoot everything in 24PA or P I would but I can't. That inded would be the best solution. But I'd imagine some of you have run into this. Even aside from mixing formats I'd also be interested in other's video workflows for web.
Thank you.
I looking forward to your answers.
