FCP mixing HD and SD

I have a job comeing up where my client wants a few time lapses of her event and also allot of the event covered. I do not want to waste p2 on time lapses considering I only have 1 32gb and 1 16gb and she wants the end result to be about 2 hours. so is there a way I could shoot the lapses on tape and then use all the other stuff with p2 720p. Will it be that noticable for a client who doesnt know anything about video?

The P2 cards can be setup to take to do timelapses frame by frame- not going to fill up. And yeah SD timelapses in an HD movie will look noticeably.... crappy... :bath:

If you have a still camera that can do timelapse that's another option as well if you don't want to tie up your HVX200.
