FCP missing the Plugins folder

Hey,

It is supposed to be in the Application Support folder under Library, but it's not. After some googling it looks like I installed FCS incorrectly. So I went to look for the folder on my old mac and that too doesn't have it. I find it hard to believe that both times were installed incorrectly and both FCP are functioning fine. Is there another explanation? Can I create the folder myself?

Okay, just to be clear, the plugins folder exists along with the custom settings folder in this path:

HD>Library>Application Support>Final Cut Pro System Support

And you're saying this wasn't created when you installed Final Cut Studio?

Glad you found it. The same thing happened to me last week. The only fix was to reinstall.

It was so bad when I downloaded plugins they tried to open in Text Edit!

No they were not. That is what is so unusual. My plugins folder went away and this was the only place it could figure out to put them?????
