So I'm about to tear what little hair I have left out....
This happened to me a while back on a project, and I wound up chalking it up to some strange bug or unidentified user error, but now it's happening again - so I feel like I really need to get to the bottom of it.
Long story short:
I am running FCP 6.0.5
I am media managing a 90 second video shot with the HPX170 (DVCproHD).
We shot with a boom mic going into both channels, and the camera records audio off the camera mic to the other two by default.
Everything seems fine in the media managed project, until I check the audio channels - for some reason instead of copying the audio as it is on my master timeline (only the two boom channels being used), in my media managed version I am getting 1 channel of the boom, and 1 channels of the camera mic.
Obviously this kind of ruins the whole piece.
Last time this happened I just wound up going to back and fixing the problem manually...but I'd really like to get to the bottom of it.
Anyone here ever run into this before? Or have any ideas?
I've tried everything I can think of, and I'm just left scratching my head.
Thanks for any advice.
