FCP, Matrox MXO and 24p

A little walk down memory lane for anyone who's interested and wants to take a stab at this. I have what can only be described as a legacy system... It took many trials and tribulations to get it working and now I don't want to mess with it. I have a MacPro 2x2.66 running FCP 6 with a Matrox MXO. It all works great. My problem is, I don't have 24p playback with the MXO in my options and I don't think it's available even if I updated the software, which I'm very weary to do as this system is super finicky and like I said, it works flawlessly right now. I'm mostly working with 24p ProRess 422HQ coming via a Digital Bolex via LightPost. As a workaround, I've been editing in 24p then copying the sequence onto a 23.98 sequence so my Matrox MXO can play it on my second monitor for colour correction, then copying the filters back onto the original 24p sequence. For small things it's fine but for a larger sequence it's cumbersome. What is my best workaround? Is there a way to edit my 24p on a 23.98 timeline then export to 24p without messing with the frame order? Is there a way to trick the Matrox into playing 24p footage? Can anyone help? Thanks!

Most of the time, 24p is 23.98. The D16 CAN shoot straight 24, but it also shoots 23.98, so the footage might not be 24.000, and you don't have to worry about any of this.

In any case, there shouldn't be much of a problem using 24.000 in a 23.98 timeline. I suppose there could be some sound synch issues down the timeline if the clip is quite long, but other than that, it shouldn't be a problem. There's only a 0.1% difference.
