Nice joke, but a simple video editor could work well on Windows Mobile.

Since those phones, and earlier revs, have plenty of memory and horsepower to do things like VRML (Pocket Cortona) and Photoshop type apps (Photogenics and Pocket Artist), and they shoot small videos with the built in camera it seems natural to have a simple video editor on the go. You could mail the finished product right from the phone while on the bus or train.

The iPhone will be too clunky with finger tips on a small screen to do the fine control that you can do with a stylus. I have a cool MIDI music app with a sampler, synth, and effects (Pocket Griff) that works well with the stylus, not a finger.

Also, I almost got a java version of a cool 3d modeler to work, but the mobile java rev is too old. :Drogar-Mad(DBG):

I've got a (very) lite version of Premiere on my Nokia smartphone. Also a PDF reader, an Excel and Word reader, and it can be used as a wireless broadband modem for a laptop.

AND, you can get a Commodore 64 emulator for it, or TomTom Navigator, or a Super Nintendo emulator, or MAME... these little smartphones are pretty potent.

But trying to use Premiere on the smartphone was a miserable experience, one you'd only do if you really had to... normally you'd just copy the footage over to your computer and go from there.

Hey Barry,

Assuming that you're serious about Pocket Premiere, I would love to try it.

Where did you find it? I never saw it on Adobe's site. Is it 3rd party?

Thanks!
