Yeah not much of a video card to run a long gop codec.

Try transcoding to an Iframe codec first - I use prores. ( Use either mpegstreamclip or 5dtorgb)

Exactly.... Also you didn't even post your computers specs + you are running a very OLD OS for your Mac.

Post your exact computer specs & lets go from there + how exactly you are working and using your files.

Hey Noel,

I currently use MPEG Stream - Pro Res 422. Based on your comment what would be a good video card for this model MAC that I have.

Switch your render graphics to 8 bit in Final Cut Pro = Problem Solved

OK, 1st let me say that I am not the most setup savvy person in the world so please if you can walk me through the process that you speak of. I tried looking for a dialogue that contained the phrase "Render Graphics" but came up with nothing. So if it is another term please let me know. What you speak of sounds really easy, but I am not seeing it. I need exact terms and paths to assure that I am changing the right settings. If you don't mind.

I really appreciate it

Thanks, Gearie
