I trying to help someone who needs to transfer footage from FCP into iMovie and ultimately into iDVD.

It's HDV 1080i and it imports fine into iMovie, and also into FCP, but when I exported out of FCP as quicktime and then imported the quicktime movie into iMovie, it appeared as just a black clip. Anyone know why this is?

Also, can you burn HD content onto dvd with iDVD?

This guy still wants to take advantage of some of the preset effects and transitions iMovie offers. Anyway, don't need help any longer. Turns out i was doing everything right and his 'puter's just funked up. It's being serviced now
