FCP & HVX200 Sync issues after render

Hi all,

I have been working with the HVX200 for a few days now. I have noticed that once Ive got my footage into my timeline and all edited and have added all my titling and effects and then hit render that all of a sudden all of my HVX footage is now out of sync. The problem as far as I can tell is that it is repeating one frame of the rendered clip. As a result there is a visual jump on the screen and the audio become unsynced. Has anyone else run into this problem? This only happens on the HVX footage. I also have Varicam footage as well and that stays in sync and does not "skip".

G5, tons of ram, Kona board, HVX200 720 24PN mode, mixing with varicam footage, FCP 5.0.4.

Help please!

With your editing setup do you ever edit 35mm films?

If so there is a feature that will eliminate (and a glitch i am sure could cause to repeat) single frames when finally rendered. It is because when you are editing 35mm and then decide to make your EDL/cutlist it will take away one frame at the tails and heads of each clip to allow for the negative splicer to make the cut. (it destroys one frame on 35mm film when you cut two pieces together). This may be totally wrong for your case, but it is just a thought.

I am having this issue as well. Everything is fine until I apply a third party filter (DFT 55MM), or add an additional video clip to a layer (ie. a rendered lower third). Then the video affected by the filter or clip jumps a few frames until the filter/clip is over and it resumes propper sync. I'm using a G5 OSX 10.4.7 FCP 5.0.4 and a Black Magic card.
