Hello out there,
From my Sony Z-1, I am down converting 16 x 9 HDV tape to letterboxed SD 4 x 3 video in Final Cut. I was hoping I could just send captured source files to my client to view in Quicktime.
However, when I open the captured source files, they appear as 16 x 9 out of proportion QT files. If I export the timeline into Mpeg4 for example, they open in the correct aspect ration- 4 x 3. I could do this for the whole 2 hours of tape, but the export would take a lot of time. Any suggestions of what I could be doing wrong?
Thanks!
Russell
