Hello all, i got directed here by a friend from vjforums, he thought there may be someone here who could help me out on this:
We recently bought the latest final cut pro (for the office) on a G5 Mac for a documentary we will be working on. Now a camera guy brought me some footage on a Panasonic P2 Drive (DVC Pro Footage) and told me i just have to copy the *.mxf files onto an external HDD of mine, and i will/can use them in FCP without a problem.
As far as i realised now, this was NOT true.... apparently i need some xml files and a certain Folder Structure to make the files readable by FCP...! Is this right ?
and if it is right.... is there ANY way to convert those mxf files into something readable (avi, mov, whatever....) ????
i hope someone can give me a hand on this, cause i have absolutely NO idea on how to get those files to work..... :dankk2:
