FCP General Error.....

So,

Im using FCP 5.1.4 with a sequence is the sheer codec. I need to burn in the clip names and the timecode for my post crew. Looked around on the net and found TCP Plus from Spherico http://www.spherico.com/filmtools/ ... Tested it out and worked fine. Couldnt find the full version so just tried it with a long sequence.

No when i try to open up final Cut with that sequence it gives me a "General Error"

Oh very informative!!!

Then after clicking through many of these it gives me an "Error: Out of memory"

Ive looked at my system resources and im not out of memory. Got 7gig on my system hd and 1.5 gig free in RAM. Ive tried re-installing FCP, and my next task is to try re-installing the system. The reson why i think it might be something else besides the project is that ive opened a few other projects and it seems to have a problem with them as well.

Any thoughts?

Try making a copy of the sequence and giving it a different name.

Final Cut has issues sometimes when things get corrupted.

This seems to fix this most of the time.. I have had this issue many many times in the past.
