FCP filters - any problem with 24P (normal)

I've read with interest that slo-mo (in the edit bay) gets ugly when editing 29.97

Which raises the question in my mind - are there any "restrictions" re the use of filters or transitions in FCP.

(assume please 24P normal straight from the camera into a 29.97 timeline - letting the camera only do the onboard conversion)
