Im having an odd problem where I have a ProRes sequence with both dvcproHD and prores(hq) footage in the sequence. My problem is when ever I add color correction to the dvcproHD footage and if I transition to anything at all, still, prores footage, dvcprohd footage, ect, I get these odd color artifacts on all the highlights in the shot. Does anyone have any idea what I,m talking about and if there is a way to get rid of it? Thanks...

does it have a green or orange bar above it on the timeline??

If so, it just means it needs to be rendered in order to view it properly.

Thanks for the reply! No, its a odd problem I have never encountered before. It actually only shows up on the footage once the footage is rendered. This is when it shows up.

1. Take a prores time line.

2. add 2 pieces of dvcproHD footage(don't let FCP change the time line settings) and add color correction effect to both pieces of footage

3. Add a cross dissolve transition between the two pieces of footage

4. Render the media and play back.

I get almost an intense posterize effect on the hot spots in the footage during the transition. I would be curious to see if anyone else gets this same type of effect/problem...
