FCP creates jitter in Motion clip..?

Hi all,

We've just finished a project that consists of several animationclips created in Motion, that are all later connected to each other in FCP. All is good, except for one part of a scene.

The project is made in Motion in 720P, and we made a project in FCP in the same settings. We've exported these clip from Motion, and all of them play back fine in Quicktime Player. Although it is clear that the computer struggles a bit more to play the one scene that is problematic (lots of animation and big cameramove), the file itself seems to be fine. But once put in FCP, this one file starts jittering at a certain point. Also when downrezzed to SD in FCP for output on DVD, this problem remains. So now we are not able to handover a proper working DVD to our client. Does anyone have a possible cause/solution for this problem?

We have already tried to export a SD clip from Motion from the same scene, but the problem remained...

Cheers for your time and help.

what is the animation of video elements , jpgs tiff?
also how are you exporting out of motion to fcp ?
pretty much all the work i do from motion is in Animation codec for best results.
if your working with PSD images something could be going on there for your PAR (pixel aspect ratio) of your gfx files.

Thanks for your reply filmbot. We use PNG as graphical elements, however in this particular scene most of the stuff is text created in Motion, complemented with some tweaked particle emitters.

We've exported a great looking ProResHQ file from Motion, but FCP somehow screws this one up. I was not aware of the good quality of the Animation codec, so we'll give that a try as well. Do you use the Animation codec for stuff that goes on TV as well?

Cheers
