Anyone else having this type of issue with FCP?
FCP crashing alllll the time!

Is it happening when it tries to auto-save? I have heard that before, it would also explain crashing at regular intervals.
I can't remember any version (from 1 thru 4) ever crashing at all really for anything but that.
Anyhow, try deleting the user preferences file, that is a VERY common cause of problems. See apple.com and go to support for details. After that, try re-installing. The Apple support site is pretty good though.

my fcp has been solid for many versions now. what you have is not normal. the only crash I get is always when I start it, I have to make two tries. i think there is an easy way to fix it, but I don't care now.

it would be good and always a good practice to
apps>utilitites> disk utility
and repair permissions on your drive. follow the directions for startup drive if this is your startup ddrive.
or use disk warrior reguarly. thats a 3rd party appl. i need it like handsoap to stay clean and peace of mind.

Do you have all of the auto-updates?
If not, go to the apple in the upper left corner of your screen and click "Software Update..."
My version of FCPHD would crash EVERY time I clicked Sequence - Settings until I got the update.
