Is it possible in color to color correct a certain colorthat was off balance without affecting the colors that are correct. if so where in color would I need to go?

You can use the 3 way color corrector under video filters and use the limit effect parameters in it.
Or send it to Color.

Color is very powerful. And not easily explained in a single forum posting. Depending on the nature of your problem there are several ways of fixing it. You could use the curves tool. Or narrow down the problem with a hue adjustment in the secondaries.

thanks guys. I fixed the problem in color. I used the secondary and magic took place. for those who run across similiar problems i googled fcp color tutuorial youtube and got a step by step.
