FCP certification

End of Fall

I'm switching from Advid to FCP, anyone have any tips for me to get certified?

I have both FCP6 and FCP6 beyond the basics book. I been reviewing the books for the last week. I'm still studying the short cuts. I'm trying to take the test in 9 weeks from todays date so any help is useful.

Are you planning to take the courses?

Noah

I was going to take the courses in Orlando, Florida. How ever my instructor who is level one certified in FCP told me it would be a waste of money because I would be learning the same in Orlando that I would be in class. He said that its a 3 day class in Orlando as in class its 10 weeks long.

I've just been doing Lesson 3 exercise twice a day. He said thats one of the most important lessons in the book to actually do.

The issue with me Noah is its literally harder for me to learn something new then say your average person.

I have to study 9 hours to pass a test rather someone could look over notes for 15mins and be able to pass it no problems.

So that said I'm trying to study every day 1 - 2 hours a day on the lesson reviews then 35mins on the short cuts.

I'm going to start to work from lesson 1 tomorrow and work my way to lesson 14, then repeat the steps.

Also Noah I currently own your DVD for color, its a fantastic DVD! I haven't watched much because I'm taking a Documentary Filmmaking class which is technically a Final Cut Pro 101 class. But I really fell in love with Final Cut Pro but I just wish I was smarter so I could learn the short cuts and lear the lesson reviews and actually hold them down.

I had a quiz last week that I bombed because I was mixing the command and option key up ALOT. The test was based around lesson 1 & 2 but I managed to bomb the test. I'm going to have to buckle down and start to study harder I guess.
