When I color correct HDV footage in Final Cut Pro 5, I cannot see the changes being made as I slide the slider. Am I doing something wrong, or is that a limitation? I can see the changes being made in Premier Pro 1.5.1 and 2.0.

I just went over this with a guy at apple, he just told me to make sure the clip is highlighted and the scrubber is on that clip, or else you wont see the changes... if thats not it, then i dunno

Make sure you're working on the Sequence copy of the clip, not the orginal in the Browser. Once you drop a clip into a Sequence, you have two seperate versions of that clip and changing one will not effect the other.

Double click the clip in the Timeline window to open it in the Veiwer. Verify you are looking at the Timeline version by the perf marks in the Viewer's scrubber. If you have a copy from the Browser, those marks won't be there.

Well it was my wife that was using it and it appears that she was doing something silly - All works fine for me =)

It's a super common mistake for folks to have the Browser copy opened in the Viewer, and not the copy in the Sequence.
