FCP Books

[BakedYams]

I'm just starting with this program and am looking for advice on books to watch out for. I have a lot of Photoshop experience but no experience with video editing, I'll be using this program on a brand new Mac.

Thanks

You could always go with video tutorials like mine. Otherwise the Peachpit Press books are solid.

Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 5

Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 5

I'm using Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 5 that I got with my software when I bought it. It comes with a dvd with several projects to work on as you read each chapter. Its a great way to systematically go through and learn the work flow with fcp

Yeah! The Apple Pro Training Series by Diana Weynand for either FCP5 or FCP6--
depeding on which one you have--is THE book to get. It's one of the best
training books I've ever read. Buy it. Memorize it. Get to work.
