FCP..... books?

(1) I'm looking for a good book about motion effects and graphics that can be done in final cut pro. i found this book "Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Pro by Kevin Monahan (Author)" does anyone know if its up to date or worth buying.

(2) another question, my Motion Program will no longer open, I've reinstalled it and it still doesn't work, any suggestions?

(3) final i have this program "Shake" what is it, and what can it do?

3. Shake is mainly a compositing program but you can also do such things as slomo, image stabilization and morphing in it...to mention a few.
