So the company I work for is forcing me to learn FCP. I have been an Avid editor for the past 10 years and now need to learn. I have a book called Final Cut Pro for Avid Editors which I have gone through, but now we just upgraded to FCP 5 and now I need more instructions.

Can anyone recommend a good book?

Thanks

anything by peachpit press, I dont think there is one out just quite yet, but those are the only books that are actually looked over by apple before they're released. Makes them official, you know?

Just my 2 cents

Agreed. PeachPit puts out the "Visual Quick Pro Guide" series for lots of programs and I find them to be among the best. I've got one for FCP HD, AVID Xpress Pro, and DVDSP. Easy to read and understand and they don't cost a fortune.

The book for FCP HD should be sufficient for you if there is not yet one available for 5.0. The basics haven't changed.
