I'm hoping someone here can help me out to configure my system.
Basically I have a G5 with a firepod plugged in via firewire in the back
and two studio monitors hooked up to the firepod. I have a DSR-11
deck hooked up to the firewire in the front. The problem I'm having
is I can't get any audio out of my speakers either when I capture
DV or playback captured clips in FCP.
(The setup works fine with Itunes, Logic, Live, etc)
I've tried different tapes and files in FCP and although I can see audio meters
up high I can't get any audio.
In the Final Cut Pro settings I have:
Clip settings audio preview checked
audio/ video settings: audio playback> firepod
capture presets: quicktime audio settings> firepod (format 48khz)
user preferences: audio outputs>default stereo preset
OS X System Preferences:
Firepod for Sound Output
Firepod for Sound Input
I can see the meters working at a very low level with the tapes I'm working on
(-96), but cannot hear any sound from the monitors through Final Cut Pro.
I've tried refreshing the audio/ video devices, the view>audio playback is set to firepod and the sound through the monitors works with everything but FCP. I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction?
