FCP and 64 bit

[ZzBog]

Hello everybody!
Do you think FCP will benefit from introduction of 64 bit architecture? Or does it benefit?
Is 64 bit a must for video-ed in the next couple of years?

Thanks!

FCP has been 64-bit for awhile now, as has the G5 hardware and OS X.
Yes, every bit of horse power your system can give you benifits video editing.
The PC side is catching up to UNIX and about to go totally 64-bit.
It'll be standard in another year or two.
But if you're on a G5 with FCP5, you're already in the 64-bit world.

Yes, thank you.

But will I loose any features with 32 bit? I mean unique features, that would be avaliable only to 64-bit?
